Nearing completion on this nice Nova custom audio system. Great sounds go with great looks. Extreme Car Audio has been entrusted with designing a audio system on this restored Nova.
The trick here is to keep everything looking original, but integrating modern technology. Starting with the head unit. Tucked neatly into the original space and unit has the original radio look, but it’s much more.
Routing the wires behind the dash and supporting the head unit. All of the wires will have a neat finished look once all the connections are made up and tested.
Lots of time and great care goes into all installations here at Extreme Car Audio and customers can trust that our installation team has the skill and experience to tackle such a project.
Matching the right components together to achieve what the customer is looking for, takes experience and knowledge.
PTS 46 used here and it’s a 4×6″ 2-Way Speakers / 180 W
- Silk Dome Tweeter
- Neodymium Magnet
- Rubber Surround
- Carbon Graphite Injection PP Cone
- 1” (25mm) Voice Coil
- Ferrite Oxide Magnet
|Max Power||180 Watts|
|Nominal Power||65 Watts|
|Frequency Response||40Hz – 22KHz|
In the rear, the installer had to get creative in order to direct the sound from the rear deck towards the front of the car. To achieve this a channel had to be created onto the cover.
Pictures here are all in a raw and unfinished state so we could show you in detail what goes into a custom car audio project
We plan to do a follow-up video showing the finished project with everything buttoned up as you would expect.
